Beach Rides

How does it work?

All rides are by reservation only. We ride Monday through Friday excluding some holidays. All reservations must be made phone, 850-227-6117. We are open all year and ride times vary in the morning, evening and sunset. Beach Rides are based on eastern time and leave from Salinas Park.

Rates:

$90-1 hour ride

$100-1 hour sunset ride

What to expect

How does it work?

All beach rides are guided by our professional, friendly guides. The ride is a relaxing walk on horseback by the water. If you have never ridden or are a novice rider, do not be nervous. There is no running at any point during the ride and we have a short instructional time before actually mounting the horse. We do not accept double riding and minimum age to ride is 5 years old on a lead line on their own horse. The weight limit is 220 lbs., and we will need to know about anyone who may have a disability or special needs ahead of time to make sure they can be safely accommodated.

A Valid Credit Card Is Required For All Reservations.

Please give 24 hours notice for any cancellations to avoid your card being charged for your beach ride, if we cancel due to weather conditions there will be no charges.

Want a special ride? Give us a call and we can let you know what is available for just you and your family or you and your significant other. This ride allows you to be on your time with your own guide to stop and take extra pictures while you are horseback riding on the beach.

What do we bring?

We provide everything needed for the ride with your horse rentals. Children age 15 and under are required to wear helmets by Florida law. We have several sizes available but you are welcome to bring your own if you would like. Closed toe shoes are recommended but not required. Remember if it’s windy, your hat needs a strap or best to leave it. You may want to wear bug spray and sunscreen depending on what time of year you are visiting.

About our horses

What do we bring?

All of our horses are between 14-25 years old. We usually assign you your horse based on age, weight and ability. Our weight limit is 220 lbs. The ranch is located about 35 minutes inland from the park where we meet to do the rides. We have all geldings (male horses) and they live on 33 acres. We love them very much and do our best to make sure they are happy and healthy each day so they can enjoy their beach ride too.

Helpful things to know about your beach ride

You may bring a phone or camera and our guide will stop at a certain point on the ride to take pictures for you. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to sign waivers and get helmets assigned and adjusted. Please be aware of the time as the phones will switch between eastern and central time often. We are on eastern time and don’t want you to miss your beach ride.

Cancellation Policy

Helpful things to know about your beach ride

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any changes or cancellations must be made 24 hours before your ride is scheduled or your card will be charged. If we have to cancel due to weather conditions, there will be no charge for your horseback riding on the beach excursion.
